The upcoming test flight for Boeing's CST-100 Starliner spacecraft is a crucial milestone in demonstrating its launch-to-landing capabilities, as well as readiness for NASA certification. With NASA astronauts Barry “Butch” Wilmore and Sunita “Suni” Williams on board, the Crew Flight Test (CFT) will be launched using a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket. Following separation, Starliner's engines will propel it to the International Space Station. This mission marks ULA's first human launch and underscores the significance of collaboration between industry and space agencies in advancing space exploration and transportation technology.
