Published: February 25, 2025
Hennessey is launching a limited edition of its upgraded Ford Mustang variants, offering only 91 units to mark its founding year of 1991. These models, known as 'Super Venom,' boast an impressive performance increase, delivering around 850 horsepower compared to the previous models. Customers can choose between the base GT and Dark Horse, with the latter gaining more performance features like an active exhaust and a limited-slip differential.
The Super Venom package includes significant enhancements, such as a more powerful supercharger, improved injectors, and a refined induction system, allowing the Dark Horse to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds. Both models feature a distinctive carbon fiber aero kit and eye-catching visual upgrades. Pricing starts at $149,950 for the GT and $163,950 for the Dark Horse, reflecting the price difference from their standard counterparts.
From a transportation and automotive performance perspective, the Super Venom models exemplify a growing trend towards high-performance customization in mainstream vehicles. As manufacturers become more focused on personalization, they open doors to a niche market. Enthusiasts seek unique features that enhance not just speed but also experience and aesthetics. Such offerings could reshape consumer expectations, pushing for greater variety in performance vehicles while also posing questions about the sustainability of high-powered vehicles in the evolving landscape of automotive regulations and environmental concerns.
