Love’s Travel Stops has partnered with Relay Payments to allow fuel payments via Relay's digital system at over 2,200 truck stops across the U.S. This new capability will support truck drivers and fleets by improving payment security and reducing fraud risks such as card skimming. Relay Payments has already established connections with various truck stop operators, including Pilot Travel Centers and Maverik, enhancing its network for drivers. Fleets like Schneider, Coyote Logistics, and Old Dominion Freight Line are among those utilizing the service.
As part of their offerings, Relay also introduced RelayDirect, a freight payment option designed for brokers that streamlines payments and offers flexible terms to improve cash flow. Since its inception in 2023, Relay has processed millions of transactions without any fraud incidents, reflecting its effectiveness and strong adoption in the trucking industry, aiming to alleviate financial management burdens for drivers and fleets.
In expert opinion, the integration of digital payment solutions like Relay Payments is crucial in modernizing the transportation sector. It not only enhances efficiency and security but also enables better financial management for trucking companies. As the industry increasingly embraces technology, solutions that streamline operations, reduce fraud, and improve cash flow will play a significant role in driving growth and sustainability in logistics. The shift toward comprehensive digital networks will likely become a standard expectation in the industry, responding to both consumer and operational demands.
