Meet the Escalade’s not-so-baby brother: it’s the new Cadillac Vistiq

Published: November 16, 2024
Cadillac has introduced a new large three-row electric SUV, the Vistiq, aimed at consumers who desire the features of an Escalade but in a more compact electric form. The Vistiq showcases a modern design influenced by "Brutalist architecture," reflecting a bold and clean aesthetic. It is equipped with a dual-motor electric system, generating 615 bhp and 650 lb-ft of torque, along with a substantial 102 kWh battery that provides a range of up to 300 miles. Notable performance features include a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 3.7 seconds and adaptive air suspension for a comfortable ride while maintaining sporty handling characteristics. The interior is luxurious, featuring a variety of high-end materials and advanced technology, including a sophisticated sound system and multiple safety features. The Vistiq will be available in three trims with prices beginning at £78,790, and a more upscale Platinum trim is expected by summer 2025. From a transportation perspective, the emergence of electric SUVs like the Cadillac Vistiq signifies a critical shift in consumer preferences towards electrification in the automotive industry. With the growing concerns about environmental sustainability, the increase in range and performance of electric vehicles will likely stimulate further interest and adoption in this category. As manufacturers refine electric vehicle technology, offering enhanced comfort and luxury alongside sustainability, it is clear that the future of transportation will increasingly integrate these elements in higher-end segments of the market.
