A Delta flight arrived at LAX late at night after the plane was diverted due to a sick dog

A flight traveling from Detroit to Los Angeles was diverted due to a dog experiencing health issues onboard. The Airbus A321-200, carrying 181 passengers and six crew members, had to descend from an altitude of 26,000 feet and reroute to Minneapolis shortly after takeoff. A veterinarian was called to assist the pet, which was met by paramedics upon landing. The dog and its owner safely disembarked, and the animal later recovered. Although this diversion resulted in a delay of about two and a half hours, the flight ultimately reached LAX without further incident.
