GXO Logistics Reports Q1 Revenue Increase to Nearly $3 Billion

Published: May 8, 2025
GXO Logistics reported a strong revenue growth of 21% in the first quarter of 2025, reaching $2.98 billion compared to $2.46 billion in the same period last year. However, the company faced a net loss of $95 million, a significant increase from the $36 million loss recorded the previous year. CEO Malcolm Wilson emphasized the company's achievements, noting $228 million in new business secured and a robust sales pipeline of $2.5 billion. A noteworthy highlight was a landmark contract with England's National Health Service Supply Chain valued at approximately $2.5 billion.

GXO has already obtained over $700 million in additional revenue for 2025 and an additional $300 million for 2026. The segments showing notable growth included omnichannel retail operations and industrial manufacturing, whereas food and beverage and consumer packaged goods saw decreased revenues.

From a transportation perspective, GXO's performance underscores the importance of adaptive strategies in logistics, particularly in response to evolving supply chain dynamics. As companies prioritize resilience and efficiency, GXO's technological solutions and operational expertise may position it favorably in a competitive landscape. The rise in revenue amid operational losses suggests that while the demand for logistics services remains strong, cost management and technological investments are crucial for sustaining profitability in challenging market conditions.
