Longitude Launches New PSV Design to Target Cost Efficiencies

Design and engineering consultancy Longitude has launched a compact platform supply vessel (PSV) design, the second in its IMT Isca series. The D-Flex design is an evolution of the IMT 984 (G-Class) design and aims to provide long-term economic value for shipowners.

This new addition targets cost efficiencies while maintaining adaptability for offshore energy operations in various regions. 2 meters in width, and a deadweight of 3,000 tons.

Its total deck area is 650 square meters, offering flexibility for owner-configured layouts. This includes alternative accommodation and powering configurations, as well as optional preparation for future alternative fuel options such as methanol.

The vessel's design ensures suitability across multiple geographies and crewing models, with flexibility around the maker's list allowing owners to align the vessel with preferred equipment or lifecycle strategies. Longitude's IMT Isca series represents the next generation of PSVs, evolved from the IMT-984 series to meet contemporary regulatory requirements while focusing on sustainability for the owner.
