Royal Enfield has confirmed record sales for its Himalayan 450, with growth of over 53 per cent in the last year. This comes after the company was ranked as the world's third strongest automotive brand in the latest Brand Finance Automotive Industry 2026 report. The Himalayan 450 has become one of Royal Enfield's most iconic models since its introduction in 2016.
The bike marked Royal Enfield's entry into the 400cc segment, which saw the arrival of the Guerrilla 450 in recent times. The Himalayan 450 has gained popularity among adventure motorcycle enthusiasts due to its off-road capabilities and versatility. Its latest sales figures seem to demonstrate that it remains a top choice in its class.
A new Himalayan 450 was launched in 2023 with increased power and torque over the previous model, followed by the launch of an all-new Himalayan Mana Black edition at the 2025 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. The Mana Black variant features the same liquid-cooled single-cylinder Sherpa engine as the standard model.

The bike has been used in partnership with the British Army and has tasted off-road racing success in the UK, winning the singles class at the Valleys X-Treme Lite earlier this year. This demonstrates Royal Enfield's commitment to developing motorcycles that can handle various terrain and conditions.
In terms of numbers, the Himalayan 450 sold a total of 9,600 units in 2023 before reaching global sales of more than 38,000 units in the last year. The annual sales growth of over 53 per cent excludes Himalayan 450 sales in India, according to Royal Enfield.
The company's success with the Himalayan 450 has also been recognized in Brazil, where it has emerged as the 'best-selling adventure motorcycle in its class'. This is a testament to Royal Enfield's ability to adapt to changing market trends and meet the demands of various customer segments.

Royal Enfield's record-breaking sales growth is a significant milestone for the company, demonstrating its continued success and popularity among adventure motorcycle enthusiasts. The company's commitment to innovation and quality has paid off, with the Himalayan 450 becoming one of Royal Enfield's most iconic models.
