United Airlines has unveiled its first pair of Airbus A321neo Coastliners with fresh liveries and modern interiors, as part of its fleet modernization plan.
The new aircraft feature United's new 'Elevated' interiors, which will be 'premium heavy' with 50% more seats than existing narrowbody jets.
The A321neo and A321XLR jets will serve the dedicated Coastliner route from California to New York, offering all-aisle-access lie-flat seats in United Polaris.

This is the first time that narrowbody jets have been equipped with the Elevated interior on United Airlines.
The new Airbus single-aisles will be easy to spot thanks to their unique livery, which complements their special cabin builds and distinguishes them from the rest of United's fleet.
The standard A321neos will have 20 all-aisle access lie-flat Polaris seats, while the A321XLRs in the Coastliner fleet will feature 32 premium seats.

United Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Nocella commented on the airline's investment in new aircraft, highlighting the benefits for customers.
The airline's drive to add 250 new planes in the next two years builds on the momentum of the past five years of fleet-wide and systemic growth.
With this latest addition, United Airlines continues to enhance its flying experience and solidify its position as a major player in the US aviation market.

The introduction of the Elevated interior on narrowbody jets marks a significant upgrade in comfort and amenities for United Airlines' passengers.
