Honda Unveils Major Updates to Off-Road Range

Honda has unveiled its new off-road range, featuring significant updates to its CRF450 and 250 models. The company has also introduced two limited-edition HRC-WE models, which are designed for serious enthusiasts. These updates mark a major shift in Honda's approach to its off-road lineup.

The updates include a new frame and engine, with the latter offering improved power and torque. The all-new 449.5cc engine boasts a bigger bore, shorter stroke and larger diameter inlet and exhaust valves, as well as a new piston and camshaft. This significant overhaul is designed to provide riders with enhanced performance and handling.

The CRF450R model gains 10.3% more power and 3.7% more torque than its predecessor, while the CRF450RX model shares the same engine but with a slightly different gearing ratio. The transmission has also been revised with new gear ratios, which are designed to provide smoother acceleration and better control.

The limited-edition HRC-WE models join the range, featuring unique graphics and a bespoke Yoshimura titanium exhaust system. These models are designed for serious enthusiasts who demand the best performance and handling from their motorcycles.

Honda has also updated its CRF250R and CRF250RX models with revised graphic packages and new Showa suspension. The CRF250R model is the most affordable of the six bikes, priced at £7,649, while the CRF450R is the cheapest at £8,199. The flagship CRF450 HRC-WE model costs £11,399.

The new range-topping models feature a titanium fuel tank and a world-first rubber damper-activated Back Torque Limiter (BTL). This innovative technology helps to improve traction and control on rough terrain.
