The 2027 Ducati Desmo450 EDS dual-sport bike marks the third iteration of the Desmo450 lineup, with a focus on street legality and less frenetic demands of dual-sport riding. The bike is priced at $12,995, which undercuts last year's prices for Austrian 350 and 500 dual-sport bikes.
This price difference makes the EDS an attractive option for riders who want a capable off-road bike that can also handle on-road riding without breaking the bank.
The motor in the 2027 Ducati Desmo450 EDS is all about low-rpm power, with its own cams and timing for dual-sport use. This design allows the bike to produce a maximum of 42 hp at 6750 rpm, which is lower than the EDX's peak output.

Despite this, the EDS still offers impressive torque, with a peak of 33 lb-ft occurring at 5750 rpm. The transmission has also been upgraded with an extra cog for wider ratio options.
The bike features a unique cooling system, replacing the radiator with a cooling fan to meet the EPA and DOT requirements for street-legal bikes.
The 2027 Ducati Desmo450 EDS is designed to cater to riders who want a versatile bike that can handle both on-road and off-road riding.
