On Tuesday morning, a Ryanair flight that had just arrived from Portugal faced a bomb threat at Charleroi Airport, leading to significant disruption. A security perimeter of 500 meters was established around the aircraft, resulting in the closure of the runway and a halt to airport operations, although the terminal itself remained open. Authorities conducted thorough security checks and were eventually able to clear the aircraft, allowing air traffic to resume by mid-afternoon. As a result of the incident, at least 11 flights were rerouted to nearby airports, including Brussels Zaventem, Lille, and Liege.
