Hyundai's upcoming Elantra N has been spotted testing in Korea, with insiders suggesting it may feature a new powertrain and wider platform. The car in question appears to be an early test mule for the next-generation model, sporting the body of the current sedan but concealing new hardware underneath.
This updated Elantra lineup is expected to look noticeably different from the current car on sale today, with a revised K3 platform supporting both the Elantra N and other models like the Kona and Kia K4. The test mule's wider wheels hint at increased track width, while its angular bumpers suggest a departure from the current design.
A camouflaged prototype of the standard model spotted last August hinted at significant styling updates, including a reshaped front end, redesigned nose, and LED light bar. 5-liter turbo four of the larger Sonata N-Line.
