Bentley Continues to Expand Continental GT Lineup with Revived S Model

Bentley is expanding its Continental GT coupe and GTC convertible range by introducing a revived S model that blends the GT's powertrain with the sharper handling offered on the GT Speed and Mulliner models. The S package gives access to the Bentley Performance Active Chassis, which comprises an active electronic anti-roll system, an electronic limited-slip differential, and all-wheel steering.

This setup helps keep the Continental GT S from feeling light despite its 5,400-pound weight. Previously, this chassis was only available on GT Speed and Mulliner models, but now it's also offered on the new S line.

0-liter hybrid V8 that produces 671 horsepower and 686 pound-feet of torque, making it more powerful than its previous-gen equivalents. 3 seconds on their way to a top speed of 190 mph.

Additionally, they will have the ability to fully defeat the car's stability control system, adding to the Supersports-inspired character. The S line features visual distinctions such as the 'Blackline' look and gloss-black veneer trim for a sportier interior look.

However, these changes are subtle compared to the equivalent GT Speed models. No word yet on when the new Continental GT S and GTC S will be available to order, but it's expected that customers will know where to leave their deposit.
