Stärke Motor Company has unveiled its latest creation, a second-generation Porsche Speedster replica that transforms any newer Porsche 718 into a retro-styled tribute to the famous Porsche 356. The company's Gen 2 Speedster boasts a unique blend of classic looks and modern performance, despite having somewhat unconventional proportions due to the larger dimensions of the original 356 compared to the 718. Each build begins with a factory 718 chassis, which is then wrapped in entirely bespoke bodywork intended to evoke the spirit of the classic Speedster.

The company's attention to detail is evident in the faithful recreations of vintage exterior panels, such as the circular headlights and bulging wheel arches, which look excellent on the new Speedster. The car also features distinctive polished chrome wheels and a pair of cute little wing mirrors. Underneath, Stärke says all of the factory driver-assistance features remain functional, thanks to the transformation leaving the car's underlying architecture intact.

0-liter flat-six, the finished Speedster retains its original setup. Buyers can tailor the final result with a wide array of customization choices, including virtually unlimited paint colors and interior trim options. The interior largely remains unchanged from the original 718, except for the removal of the Porsche emblem from the steering wheel, likely for legal reasons.

The sports car no longer has any Porsche branding, not even on the outside. For those interested in purchasing a Gen 2 Speedster, owners who already have a donor 718 Boxster or Cayman can expect to pay a minimum of $135,000 for the full conversion, while those starting from scratch will need to pay a starting price of $189,000. This unique creation is sure to turn heads on the road and in showrooms alike, making it an attractive option for Porsche enthusiasts looking to own a piece of automotive history.
