The RV Industry Association's Sustainability Committee is hosting the fifth annual All-Industry Volunteer Day on Wednesday, May 20, at Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds. Volunteers from all sectors of the industry will come together to participate in restoration and enhancement projects for the Fairground's recreation and campground facilities. This event brings together a diverse group of individuals from various parts of the RV industry, showcasing the commitment to community service that defines this sector.
The All-Industry Volunteer Day is an exciting opportunity for volunteers to make a difference in their local community while fostering connections among all sectors of the industry. By participating in this event, volunteers will have the chance to contribute to the enhancement and restoration of the Fairgrounds' facilities, which will benefit not only the RV industry but also the broader community.
Registrants can choose to participate for the entire day or opt for shorter shifts, allowing individuals to select a time frame that suits their schedule. This flexibility ensures that everyone has an opportunity to get involved and make a positive impact.

More information regarding meeting instructions and project groupings will be shared with all volunteers once the number of participants and specific projects have been finalized. The RVIA's Sustainability Committee is committed to ensuring that every volunteer has a seamless experience, from arrival to departure.
The All-Industry Volunteer Day initiative was first conceived by the Emerging Leaders Coalition (ELC) in 2022. Since then, it has grown into a permanent fixture within the RV Industry Association's committee structure under the Sustainability Committee. This evolution reflects the coalition's mission to cultivate the next generation of leadership and promote sustainability within the industry.
The annual volunteer project initiative has taken place at four different locations so far: Potato Creek State Park in 2022, Ox Bow County Park in 2023, Chain O'Lakes State Park in 2024, and Bonneyville Mill County Park in 2025. Each location has seen significant improvements, including the construction of park facilities, repair of infrastructure, removal of invasive species, and enhancement of public spaces.
The RV Industry Association's Emerging Leaders Coalition was honored with the 2024 National Association of State Park Directors President's Award for its outstanding volunteer initiatives supporting Indiana State Parks. This prestigious award recognizes the coalition's commitment to making a positive impact on the communities it serves.
The success of the All-Industry Volunteer Day initiative is a testament to the RV industry's dedication to community service and sustainability. As the event continues to grow, it serves as a model for other industries to follow, demonstrating the power of collaboration and collective action in creating lasting change.
