KTM has unveiled its new flagship Freeride E model, which is set to arrive in dealerships this April at a price of £8,999. The 2027 Freeride E makes use of a 29kg MX50 Lithium-Ion battery that provides two to three hours of typical Enduro-esque riding time.
The Austrian manufacturer has also squeezed peak power to 19.2kW (25.7bhp), while torque comes in at 27.2 Ib-ft. The updated Freeride E offers three riding modes, which are Eco, Normal and Sport. Additionally, adjustable traction control is relayed to the rider through clear LEDs.
KTM has combined a slight increase in power with a reduction in weight, as the Freeride E now tips the scales at 112kg. The bike's motor and battery are surrounded by a chrome-molybdenum steel frame. The subframe is made from aluminium and glass-fibre reinforced nylon, leading to a new seat height of 910 mm.

The improvements don't stop there, as the battery capacity has been increased compared to the previous model. KTM says riders can count on a 5.5kWh from the innovative 'swappable' technology, while the battery can withstand more than 1000 charging cycles before effectiveness drops to 80 per cent.
As you would expect with a KTM model, suspension is handled by WP. The Freeride E uses Braktec hardware for its stopping power, while also operating on Michelin Enduro Medium tyres. It also benefits from off-road orientated 21-inch and 18-inch aluminium wheels.
The introduction of the 2027 Freeride E marks a significant milestone in the adoption of electric motorcycles, with its impressive range and performance capabilities. The bike's lightweight design and advanced technology make it an attractive option for riders looking to explore the great outdoors on two wheels.

KTM has also given the electric motorcycle a new colourway ahead of its upcoming 2026 arrival. This latest model is part of KTM's ongoing effort to expand its product lineup and cater to the growing demand for eco-friendly motorcycles.
The release of the 2027 Freeride E is expected to further solidify KTM's position as a leader in the electric motorcycle market. With its impressive features and capabilities, this bike is sure to appeal to riders looking for a fun and sustainable ride.
Overall, the 2027 KTM Freeride E represents an exciting development in the world of electric motorcycles, with its innovative technology and impressive performance capabilities making it a must-have for any serious rider.
