Chevrolet Corvette buyers are spoiled for choice with the current lineup of models including Stingray, E-Ray, Z06, ZR1, and ZR1X. However, rumors persist that the fan-favorite Grand Sport model is set to return to the lineup. Recently, an Instagram user captured what appears to be a pair of new C8-gen Grand Sports during a commercial shoot.
The video was shared by CorvetteBlogger, who have been tracking every C8-related rumor for years. The footage shows two C8s parked across each other in the mountains, with large RVs attempting to block out onlookers. One car is finished in Arctic White, while the other appears to be a dark blue that may be Admiral Blue.
This is another hint towards the return of the Grand Sport, as Admiral Blue was used in the C4 and C7 generations. The blue 'Vette also features red hashes on its rear fender, a signature of the Grand Sport. Other details are hard to discern in the clip, but it appears that the car has unique red badges behind the rear intakes and black wheels.

Notably, this model features center-exit quad pipes found on flat-plane V-8 models. However, rumors suggest that the Grand Sport will not feature Z06 or ZR1 powertrains. 7-liter unit.
The latter, reportedly called the LS6, may be used in a Corvette. There have also been rumors about GM potentially discontinuing the Stingray's dual-exit exhausts in favor of center-exit layouts. This seems more likely than another model receiving a flat-plane V-8.
As always, these are just rumors at this point, but they add to the growing speculation surrounding the return of the Grand Sport.
The C8 Corvette has already seen several high-performance variants, and if GM is introducing new V-8s, it's likely that the Grand Sport will be a key beneficiary. The use of center-exit quad pipes is a clear nod to the flat-plane V-8 models, which are known for their unique sound and performance characteristics.
