2-liter V8 engine has brought some welcome news for owners and dealers alike. The company has revised its recommended oil specification, switching from Mobil 1 0W-40 Supercar to the more affordable 0W-40 FS formulation.

This change is a result of GM's efforts to iron out issues with the L87 motor in vehicles from the 2021-2024 model years, including those powered by Cadillacs, Chevrolets, and GMCs.
