Overlanding enthusiasts and adventure-seekers will soon have a new tool at their disposal as Hipcamp and Overland Expo partner on the 2026 Adventure Route. This cross-country road trip planner is designed to help overlanders find great places to camp before, during, and after each stop on the event circuit. The partnership brings together two communities that share a passion for exploring the great outdoors, providing a unique opportunity for attendees to discover new campsites and experiences along the way.

The Adventure Route follows all five Overland Expo events from California to Virginia, highlighting iconic parks, must-see stops, and hidden-gem campsites. Whether overlanders run the full route or drop in at the stop closest to home, Hipcamp and Overland Expo are making it easier to build the adventure around the show.

Hipcamp's community-driven approach to camping has already proven successful, with millions of users discovering new campsites and experiences through the platform. The partnership with Overland Expo takes this success to the next level, providing a comprehensive resource for overlanders planning their trips.

As part of the collaboration, Hipcamp and Overland Expo are rolling out new tools to help attendees plan where to camp across the 2026 event series. These include event-specific Hipcamp camping collections, Overland Expo microsites featuring nearby basecamps, and map and search updates that make it easier to find event venues directly within the Hipcamp app.

The partnership will come to life on the ground throughout the 2026 series, with Hipcamp appearing at all five Overland Expo events. At Overland Expo West in Flagstaff this May, Hipcamp will also host a Hipcamp community camp to connect with attendees on-site as the next stop on the circuit gets underway.

Alyssa Ravasio, founder and CEO of Hipcamp, notes that for many overlanders, the real adventure begins on the drive in and continues long after the event. The Adventure Route is designed to help overlanders discover incredible campsites near each expo and on every roadtrip in between.

Alli Jackson, marketing director at Overland Expo, emphasizes the importance of inspiring people to get out there and explore. Partnering with Hipcamp provides a practical new way for attendees to plan where to stay before, during, and after each event — and to discover more of the outdoor experiences that make overlanding special.

The 2026 Overland Expo series includes West in Flagstaff, Arizona; Pacific Northwest in Redmond, Oregon; Mountain West in Loveland, Colorado; and East in Arrington, Virginia. With Hipcamp and Overland Expo working together, attendees can build their adventure around the show with confidence.

As overlanding becomes increasingly popular, partnerships like this one are crucial for connecting adventurers with the resources they need to plan their trips. The partnership between Hipcamp and Overland Expo is a win-win for both parties, providing attendees with a comprehensive resource for planning their adventures and helping to grow the overlanding community.
