The Chevy Silverado 2500HD ZR2 is not a subtle vehicle. Adding AEV's Bison package makes it even more imposing. But painting it all orange?
Now there's no way anyone is going to miss this truck. This particular hue, called Tangier Orange, is normally only available to fleet customers as a special-order option under GM paint code 9W4. American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) has announced that it will build a limited run of HD ZR2 Bison pickups in the attention-getting paint.
We've asked AEV what that upper limit is and will update this story once we hear back. This isn't the first time the Bison package has made its way onto a Tangier Orange Silverado HD, as ChevroletForum found one back in 2024. Regardless, this is not exactly a common combo, and the result is off-road awesomeness for those who are into the opposite of stealth.
Opting for Tangier Orange only adds $350 to the price of AEV's ZR2 Bison upfit. That $11,999 package gets you 37-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 rubber on AEV's Salta XD wheels, plus the kit necessary to make them fit without rubbing, as well as a front winch, rear bumper auxiliary lights, and some branding and appearance items. Selecting the Tangier Orange option in AEV's Sierra HD configurator unlocks the opportunity to upgrade to a bronze finish for the Salta XD wheels—a reasonable $640 add-on.
But that's all on top of Chevy's price for a Silverado 2500HD AEV Bison, which starts at $84,970 for 2026. Check the boxes to make it look like the truck seen here (minus the cap and crossbars), and you're looking at a $100,000 pickup. Yeah, that's a lot, but this is a lot of truck.
If you have trouble getting noticed, don't miss out on this limited-run color. This limited edition will surely turn heads on any road or trail, thanks to its unique and vibrant orange hue. For those who want the ultimate off-road experience with a touch of style, AEV's Tangier Orange Silverado HD ZR2 Bison is an unbeatable option.
AEV's decision to offer this limited-run color will undoubtedly appeal to those seeking a vehicle that stands out from the crowd. However, it's essential to consider the price tag and whether the added uniqueness justifies the increased cost.
