Porsche has unveiled its latest Formula E car, the 975 RSE, which will replace the 99X Electric with an all-new design. The car's design is a significant departure from previous models, featuring an aggressive look that is reminiscent of a concept car from a sci-fi film. This new design is expected to deliver more downforce than its predecessors, which should result in reduced lap times and improved overall performance.
The 975 RSE features a number of innovative aerodynamic elements, including a multi-level splitter and complex aero elements ahead of the front wheels. The car's weight has also been significantly reduced, weighing in at just 2,103 pounds (954 kg). This lightweight design should allow the car to accelerate quickly and maintain high speeds throughout the race.
The powertrains used across the Formula E grid will be uprated for the upcoming season, delivering 805 horsepower in Attack Mode with permanent all-wheel drive. The cars will also feature new tires that ensure efficient power delivery. During regular racing, the power will be capped at 604 horsepower, and all cars will use a 51.25 kWh battery pack.

The GEN4 car boasts impressive acceleration, able to sprint from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in just 1.8 seconds. This rapid acceleration is thanks to the regenerative braking system, which captures kinetic energy and converts it into electrical power. The car also supports ultra-fast charging at up to 600 kW.
The design of the GEN4 cars is expected to be a major talking point among fans of Formula E. The front end features an all-new nose cone with intricate multi-level splitter and complex aero elements ahead of the front wheels. The aerodynamics have also been revised along the sides, while a flowing wing is positioned at the rear.
The livery shown for the 975 RSE is for testing purposes only, and the car will look different when the season begins. Porsche has a strong history in Formula E, having won the teams' titles in both the 2024-2025 and 2023-2024 seasons. The team currently leads the drivers' and teams' championships.

Porsche factory driver Nico Müller expressed his excitement about the new car, stating that it represents a
