Feb 6, 20261 min readMarineLink News

CAPE Holland, a leading company in offshore industry foundation installation equipment within the Venterra Group, has secured a contract with CDWE for the Fengmiao Offshore Wind Farm project in Taiwan. The agreement involves supplying its CAPE VLT-640 Tandem Vibro Lifting Tool to facilitate the pre-installation of foundation and offshore substation piles.

This decision was driven by the tool's ability to safely drive piles through challenging subsea soils with risk of pile run, setting new standards for operational efficiency and risk reduction. With a track record of installing well over 400 jacket piles in Taiwan without any pile runs, CAPE Holland continues to demonstrate its expertise in this area.

The Fengmiao Offshore Wind Farm project will feature 500 MW of total capacity, comprising 33 wind turbine generator positions with 15 MW turbines. The OSS foundation and FOU piles are designed to withstand water depths ranging from 53 to 64 meters.
