Honda has kept changes to its MSX125 Grom to a minimum for 2026, revealing three new colours instead of any technical or mechanical updates. The new colour palette includes Pearl Shining Black and Splendid Blue options, as well as a HRC-inspired livery named Gayety red.
This update is a minor one compared to the changes it received in 2025, which included a redesigned bodywork. However, it is a pretty significant update nonetheless, as Honda says the refreshed Grom 'is the final step of the 26YM update journey' that began back in May 2025 with the overhauled CB125F.
The colour update is a nod to Honda's racing heritage, with the HRC-inspired livery being designed for those who want to use their Grom as a paddock bike. This feature allows owners to detach the bodywork and customize it with stickers, graphics or wraps.

Since the Grom's official launch in 2012, a total of 863,289 units have been sold globally, with almost 618,000 sold in Thailand. The US and Europe are also popular markets for the Grom, accounting for another 93,000 and over 50,000 units respectively.
The bike's engine is a 125cc two-valve air-cooled unit that produces a maximum power output of 9.6bhp at 7,250rpm and 7.7 Ib-ft of torque at 5,500rpm. It features a five-speed gearbox and has a claimed top speed of 94km/h (around 58mph).
The updated Grom also retains its original suspension setup, including a 31mm USD fork up front and a single monoshock at the rear. The bike's weight and dimensions remain unchanged.

In terms of features, the updated Grom still boasts an LCD display with a rev-counter and gear position indicator, as well as LED lighting in the head and taillights.
Pricing for the 2026 Honda Grom remains unchanged compared to the 2025 model, with customers in the UK paying £3,999. This pricing stability is likely a reflection of Honda's focus on maintaining affordability while still offering a premium product.
Overall, the updated Grom is an example of Honda's commitment to customer satisfaction and its willingness to listen to feedback from owners and enthusiasts.

The updated Grom is a minor yet significant update for Honda, reflecting its commitment to customer satisfaction.
