RVs Move America Week

The RV Industry Association has announced the start of RVs Move America Week 2026, a week-long event that brings together industry professionals for advocacy, committee work, and networking. The event kicks off on Sunday, May 31, with two days of committee meetings where volunteers will work to build a strategic roadmap for the future growth of the industry.

Participants in the event will gain insight into the state of the RV industry from association leaders and on the policies of the administration from political speakers. This will provide a unique opportunity for industry professionals to stay informed about key issues affecting their business.

The first day of committee meetings is expected to be highly productive, with volunteers working together to address critical challenges facing the RV industry. The event is designed to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing among industry stakeholders.

On Wednesday, June 3, Advocacy Day will take place, where attendees will meet with federal policymakers to forge relationships beneficial to the future growth of the RV market. This will be a key opportunity for advocates to address pressing issues affecting their business.

During Advocacy Day, advocates will focus on four critical issues: tariffs, public lands, tax deductions, and the RV Caucus. These issues are expected to have a significant impact on the industry's future growth and competitiveness.

The issue of tariffs is particularly important, as broad tariffs can unintentionally penalize domestic manufacturers who rely on specific materials that are currently unavailable in the U.S. Advocates are working to secure a targeted, strategic approach that maximizes pressure on bad actors abroad while minimizing collateral damage to U.S. businesses.

Support for public lands is also critical, with advocates seeking reauthorization of the Legacy Restoration Fund to address a maintenance backlog that exceeds $40 billion. This will help ensure the long-term sustainability of the RV industry's infrastructure.

The industry is also working to explicitly include all RVs in the definition of the 'No Tax on Car Loan Interest' deduction, which currently excludes most RVs and makes them ineligible for the $10,000 per year deduction in interest on newly purchased vehicles. This change could have a significant impact on the industry's competitiveness.

The event is designed to pull the collective strength of the industry into one space, offering a rare opportunity to forge strategic partnerships, share best practices, and gain insights into the current economic and political landscape impacting the outdoor recreation economy. By attending RVs Move America Week, industry professionals can stay informed about key issues affecting their business and work together to drive growth and success.

Attendees are encouraged to download the EventMobi app to view schedules, locations, and connect with other attendees. This will help facilitate networking opportunities and ensure that everyone has a productive and informative experience during the event.
