Rain Ruins Drag Racing Finals

Rain washes out the NHRA Top Fuel and Funny Car Finals at Epping, New Hampshire, forcing a postponement of the event. The final rounds were cancelled due to heavy rain, leaving Pro Stock points leader Dallas Glenn with his third victory of the season and first at New England Dragway.

Glenn's win was a significant one, as it marked his 24th victory of the year from the No. 5 starting position. He will now head to Bristol Dragway in Tennessee, where he hopes to secure his first victory at the track.

The postponement also means that Leah Pruett and Shawn Langdon will have to wait until the next race to compete for the Top Fuel title. The two drivers will face off at Bristol Dragway during the Super Grip Thunder Valley Nationals.

Kalitta Motorsports has dominated the Top Fuel qualifying rounds, with 30 of the past 31 elimination rounds featuring a Kalitta Motorsports driver in contention for victory. Langdon is seeking his fourth-straight victory and fifth in eight races, while Pruett is looking to post her first triumph of the year.

The Funny Car final will be an all-JFR matchup between Jack Beckman and Jordan Vandergriff, with John Force Racing sweeping the top three qualifying spots. The organization has not had a sweep since 2017 at Charlotte.

Reigning Pro Stock champion Dallas Glenn used his nearly perfect reaction time to defeat Matt Hartford in the final round. Glenn's victory was a significant one, as it marked his first win at New England Dragway and improved his overall victory total to 24.
