Mack Granite Cab Redefines Vocational Truck Experience

The all-new Mack Granite cab has been designed with the needs of vocational drivers in mind, featuring a panel layout that optimizes downward visibility. Door-mounted control panel switches and ergonomic handles made from metal are just a few of the details that have gone into creating an environment that supports drivers throughout their shift.

The interior features of the Granite have also been carefully considered to meet the demands of drivers who spend long hours behind the wheel. Available premium air-shock seats offer best-in-class heating, cooling, and massage functions, helping to reduce driver fatigue on even the most demanding routes.

Mack Trucks' focus on vocational drivers has led to a number of innovative features in the all-new Granite cab. According to Tim Wrinkle, vice president of product owner, vocational and medium duty at Mack Trucks, the company has prioritized the details that matter most to drivers - including the room to move, controls in the right place, and seat support.

The steering, suspension, and ride technologies used in the all-new Granite have been designed to keep drivers comfortable and productive throughout their shift. The available Mack Command Steer technology delivers up to an 85 percent reduction in steering effort, making it easier for drivers to navigate challenging conditions.

In addition to its impressive list of features, the Granite's MaxRide Air rear suspension is a non-torque-reactive vocational air suspension that provides a stable ride and helps reduce driver fatigue. Electronically controlled with eight tuned airbags, this technology brings a new level of comfort and support to drivers on the job.

The interior durability of the Granite has been engineered to match its exterior design, with thick aluminum door handles, heavy-duty fabrics and stitching, and reinforced door map pockets all designed to withstand daily use at the job site. Long-lasting LED lighting is also brighter than incandescent bulbs and draws less power.

Standard on the all-new Granite is the Mack ImpactShield windshield featuring Corning Fusion5 Glass, which offers automotive-grade glass technology delivering improved impact and scratch resistance and reduced ownership costs over time.

The availability of the all-new Mack Granite cab has been carefully planned to ensure that it meets the needs of vocational drivers. Production will begin in January 2027 at Mack's Lehigh Valley Operations facility in Macungie, Pennsylvania, with orders expected to be fulfilled in the latter half of 2026.

As the trucking industry continues to evolve, the all-new Granite cab is set to play a significant role in shaping the future of vocational trucks. With its focus on driver comfort and productivity, this new design is poised to redefine the experience for drivers on the job.
