Singer has unveiled its latest creation, the DLS Turbo, a reimagined 911 that pays homage to the iconic Porsche 934/5. The car is the result of Singer's Dynamics and Lightweight Study program developed in partnership with Williams Advanced Engineering.
With forced induction and styling inspired by a classic Porsche race car, the DLS Turbo is a tribute to the 1977 Porsche 934/5, an evolution of the 911-based 934 race car that featured widened rear bodywork. The car starts out as a 964-generation and is meticulously disassembled down to the body shell, which is then assessed and reinforced before being reclothed in carbon fiber bodywork designed with the aid of computational fluid dynamics.
This ensures that the bodywork not only replicates the distinctive look of a 934/5 but is also optimized for aerodynamic performance and cooling needs. 8-liter flat-six engine, which develops over 700 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque.
With a six-speed manual gearbox sending power to the rear wheels only, the car is designed to deliver exceptional performance on the track. The interior is composed of bright Pearl Grey leather and Alcantara upholstery, with Champagne piping and trim, while the exterior features a unique Fantasia Blue paint job paired with satin carbon fiber trim and black anodized upper trim.
Singer's latest creation is sure to appeal to Porsche fans looking for a unique and exclusive driving experience.
The DLS Turbo's attention to detail and commitment to authenticity make it a standout in the world of custom 911 builds. With its powerful engine and exceptional handling, this car is sure to deliver an unforgettable driving experience.
