The groundbreaking EC230 Electric excavator has proven its worth on job sites around the world, and now Volvo is making it easier for buyers to bring one onto their site with an aggressive 0% financing deal. Global heavy equipment sales have been declining since 2021, but growth in China has helped keep things from looking dire. The high cost of money has undoubtedly played a role in this decline, which is why Volvo Financial Services' latest round of incentive offerings is hoping to address the issue.

To that end, Volvo CE is offering 0% financing deals to qualifying buyers for up to 48 months on 2025 model year excavators like the 20-ton, battery-powered EC230 Electric. This deal applies to all new 2025 Volvo crawler and wheeled excavators, with the exception of the supermassive, 100-ton EC950F. In addition to the free money deal, customers can up to $3,000 in Smart Commercial Account credits when they bundle the excavator with other equipment or services.

The deal is nationwide through the end of January, at least. Volvo is also advertising a $1,000/mo. 24-month lease on any new Volvo electric compact excavator, which is eligible for bundling and stackable with other incentives, tax credits, and offers.

This financing offer can help make electric equipment more accessible to commercial fleets and municipalities looking to upgrade their operations. By highlighting these deals, manufacturers like Volvo can encourage the adoption of electric equipment, which can lead to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and operating costs. As the construction industry continues to evolve, it will be interesting to see how this deal impacts the market for electric excavators.

For now, buyers who are considering upgrading their fleets with electric equipment should take note of this offer and discuss it with their local equipment dealers.

EazyInWay Expert Take

This 0% financing deal is a great opportunity for commercial fleets and municipalities to upgrade to electric excavators, which can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and operating costs. By offering flexible payment terms, Volvo is making it easier for buyers to bring these environmentally friendly machines onto their job sites.
