With the unveiling of its flagship electric SUV, the Great Tang, BYD has solidified its position as a major player in the rapidly evolving automotive industry. The Chinese company's Disruptive Technology event on March 5 marked an exciting milestone for the brand, showcasing a range of innovative models and technologies. Among these, the Great Tang stands out as a stunning example of electric vehicle design and engineering.

The Great Tang SUV boasts impressive dimensions, measuring 5,302 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,130 mm. This sizeable footprint is comparable to that of the Denza N9 and Li Auto L9, or slightly larger than the BMW iX, Kia EV9, and Hyundai IONIQ 9. The result is an SUV that offers ample space for passengers and cargo.

The Great Tang will launch with two powertrain options: single-motor and dual-motor configurations. The single-motor variant will be available in two output levels, 300 kW (402 hp) or 370 kW (496 hp), while the dual-motor version will deliver a combined 585 kW (784 hp). This range of powertrains caters to diverse customer preferences and driving styles.
