Hyundai Recalls over 568,000 Palisade Family SUVs for the Second Time

Hyundai is recalling 568,576 Palisade SUVs due to concerns about their third-row side-curtain airbags not effectively restraining passengers in a crash. The recall affects vehicles from the 2020 through 2025 model years and appears to cover the same subset of Palisades that were involved in a seatbelt-related recall last September.

According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the issue was discovered during routine compliance tests, where a 2025 Palisade failed to keep a safety dummy in the third row from exceeding the movement limit. Hyundai is still developing a fix for the faulty rear airbags and will notify affected owners once a solution becomes available.

In the meantime, owners can check their vehicle's VIN on the NHTSA site to determine if their Palisade is part of the recall population. The automaker will also provide reimbursement for any out-of-pocket expenses incurred by owners to secure the fix.

This is not the first time Hyundai has issued a recall for the Palisade, as it previously addressed seatbelt-related issues in 2025. The NHTSA has received reports of multiple incidents involving Palisades with defective rear airbags, prompting the latest recall.

Despite the concerns, Hyundai remains committed to ensuring the safety and reliability of its vehicles. The company is taking proactive steps to address the issue and prevent any potential harm to passengers.

With a focus on quality and customer satisfaction, Hyundai aims to provide vehicles that meet the highest standards of performance and safety.
