The 2024 NTT IndyCar Series has seen three different winners in its first four races, with seven different teams represented among the top seven qualifiers for Sunday's Children's of Alabama Indy Grand Prix. Despite this parity, Alex Palou appears to have regained his dominant form at Barber Motorsports Park, a permanent road course near Birmingham. The Chip Ganassi Racing star has won at this venue before and is looking to add another victory to his tally.
Palou dominated the practice session, setting a lap time of 1 minute, 6.2341 seconds at 125.011 mph. This was despite the session being cut short due to an accident involving Scott McLachlan's Team Penske drive, which sent him backwards through the Turn 1 fencing. However, Palou was unfazed and led the morning practice session with ease.
Palou's only blemish so far this season has been an early-contact elimination at Phoenix. He also had a podium finish at the Grand Prix of Arlington, but his No. 10 DHL Honda found its sweet spot again this weekend. This is a promising sign for Palou and Chip Ganassi Racing, who have struggled to find consistency in recent seasons.

Palou expressed his satisfaction with the car's performance, stating that it was
ly good, really well-balanced.
Alex Palou's resurgence is a promising sign for Chip Ganassi Racing and the NTT IndyCar Series.
