Hyundai has introduced the Staria Camper concept at the CMT Show, showcasing a range of features aimed at enhancing the camping experience. This innovative van includes a pop-up roof, refrigerator, solar panel, and smart glass, designed to cater to the needs of off-grid travelers. The company is currently exploring the possibility of production and is seeking feedback from potential customers.
The Staria Camper is based on the Staria Electric and aims to evolve into a premium recreational vehicle tailored for the European market. 6 kWh of electricity daily. This energy can be utilized to power onboard equipment or extend the vehicle’s range.
Additionally, the camper features electronically adjustable smart glass for privacy, which can be controlled via a touchscreen, allowing users to modify transparency instantly. This smart glass not only enhances privacy but also provides better UV, thermal, and acoustic insulation compared to traditional glass. Hyundai has also included conventional curtains for added versatility.
While maintaining much of the Staria's exterior design, the camper integrates water and electrical hookups near one of the taillights. As the demand for versatile and eco-friendly recreational vehicles rises, Hyundai's Staria Camper concept represents a significant step forward in catering to the evolving preferences of outdoor enthusiasts.
