Trek has introduced a new top-tier city e-bike, the Charter+, designed for riders who want comfort, power, and polish without turning daily riding into a hobby. The bike features high-end drivetrain tech, deep integration, and a strong focus on car-replacement practicality.
With its Bosch Performance Line Sport motor delivering 85 Nm of torque and assistance up to 28 mph, the Charter+ is built for pavement-first riding but remains capable on modestly rough paths and less-than-smooth surfaces. The bike comes in two models, the Charter+ 4S starting at US $3,999 and the higher-end Charter+ 5S at US $4,499, both featuring Bosch's latest smart system hardware and displays.
The standout feature of the Charter+ 5S is its Shimano Nexus Di2 internally geared hub with a Gates belt drive and Bosch AutoShift, allowing riders to set their preferred cadence once and have the bike handle the shifting automatically. The bike also features a new top-eject battery system and integrates fully with the Bosch eBike Flow app, offering navigation, customizable motor tuning, phone-based locking, alarms, and location tracking.

With its focus on comfort, integration, and car-replacement practicality, the Charter+ is designed for riders who value reliability and comfort over bargain pricing.
The Trek Charter+ represents a significant step forward in e-bike design, offering a polished and premium take on what a modern city e-bike can be. By prioritizing comfort and integration, Trek has created a bike that is well-suited for riders who want to replace their daily car with an e-bike.
