A new sighting of a camouflaged production Genesis GV90 model has reignited hopes that the highly anticipated coach doors will make it to market. After reports claimed the feature might be cut from production, the latest video shows the doors still intact on the SUV.
The GV90, Genesis's first full-size electric vehicle, is expected to be underpinned by Hyundai's new eM platform, which promises a 50% range improvement over its current E-GMP-based electric vehicles. Coach doors are not offered on every vehicle for a reason, as traditional designs are safer and easier to mass-produce.
However, the feature has been tested in prototypes and even filed patents with the US Patent and Trademark Office. The delay in production was reportedly due to 'unresolved technical challenges' and Hyundai's recent leadership changes.

While some early prototypes were equipped with coach doors, later sightings suggested they might be cut from production. But now, it seems those reports were premature.
A near-production replica of the Neolun concept, the GV90 is expected to offer coach doors on higher-trim options or a 'One of One' package. The vehicle's mass-produced models have been spotted testing, and its global debut is still expected by the end of the year.
With this latest sighting, fans of the ultra-luxe feature can look forward to seeing it in action soon.

The coach doors on the Genesis GV90 are a testament to Hyundai's commitment to luxury and innovation. By incorporating this feature into its production model, Genesis is setting itself apart from competitors and solidifying its position as a premium electric vehicle brand.
