Lippert Components Inc. Boosts Volunteer Efforts in Elkhart County

Apr 15, 20262 min readRV PRO

Lippert Components Inc., a leading supplier of highly engineered products and customized solutions for the RV industry, has been actively involved in various community service initiatives. During its annual Volunteer Week, the company is taking its efforts to the next level by launching Pack Out 2.0, a large-scale volunteer effort that will have a direct impact on local families in need.

Pack Out 2.0 was initially conceived as a packing initiative for team members, but it has evolved into a full-cycle community activation that involves not only packing essential items but also their immediate distribution to local families. Over three nights, Lippert team members will pack more than 123,000 food and personal hygiene items into 5,000 boxes.

The company's efforts are being made possible through its partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs, which will be distributing the packed boxes directly to local families in four drive-through sites across Elkhart County. This shift from packing to immediate distribution is what makes Pack Out 2.0 different and highlights the company's commitment to making a tangible impact.

The distribution event on Thursday, April 23, from 4 to 6 p.m., will be open to anyone who needs a Food Box, with no questions asked. This approach emphasizes the importance of community and inclusivity in the company's volunteer efforts.

Michilah Grimes, social impact strategist at Lippert Components Inc., notes that Pack Out 2.0 is not just about volunteering behind the scenes but also about witnessing the direct impact of one's efforts. The distribution event will allow volunteers to see the tangible results of their work firsthand.

The company's senior lead corporate and community impact, Brandie Edsall, highlights the significance of distributing the food boxes as the true test of the volunteer experience. She notes that this moment marks the culmination of the team members' efforts and provides a powerful face-to-face connection with families in need.

This approach not only demonstrates Lippert's commitment to community service but also showcases its employees' dedication to making a difference in their local communities. By taking a proactive role in addressing food insecurity, the company is setting an example for other organizations to follow.

The success of Pack Out 2.0 will depend on various factors, including the effectiveness of the distribution model and the engagement of the community. However, with its focus on inclusivity and direct impact, this initiative has the potential to make a lasting positive difference in Elkhart County.

As Lippert Components Inc. continues to grow and evolve as a company, it is heartening to see it prioritize its social responsibility and volunteer efforts. By doing so, the company is not only giving back to its community but also fostering a culture of compassion and empathy among its employees.
