The new Zeekr 8X is set to join the brand's lineup, offering a unique blend of luxury design and extreme power without fully embracing electrification. With its name suggesting a middle ground between the 7X and 9X models, the 8X will be available in at least two versions, including a sporty one.
Recent images provided by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology offer a detailed look at the model's design. The standard version takes cues from its larger sibling, featuring a Rolls-Royce-inspired chrome grille and lobster-claw-shaped headlights.
In contrast, the sport version boasts a unique black front grille, orange brake calipers, and a spoiler extending from the roof. Both variants appear to share similar wraparound LED taillights and light bars.
0-liter turbocharged engine with battery packs and three electric motors. This configuration promises to deliver up to 1,381 horsepower on the flagship model, rivaling the performance of the 9X.
With well-equipped interiors featuring high-end materials and solid fit and finish, the 8X is poised to offer a luxurious driving experience without matching some of the features found in its larger counterparts.
The Zeekr 8X's unique blend of luxury design and hypercar performance will likely appeal to enthusiasts seeking a more affordable entry point into the brand's high-end lineup. However, it remains to be seen how the sporty version's powertrain configuration will differ from its standard counterpart.
