Heybike has launched its new 'Sports' lineup with the Villain, a compact electric e-moto that marks a clear shift away from pedal assist and into throttle-only, off-road-leaning electric machines. With a price point aimed at riders who want electric dirt-bike fun without dropping full-on motorcycle money, the Villian is an upgrade created for the next generation of riders.

Powering the Villain is a mid-drive motor rated at 4,160 watts peak, producing up to 190 Nm of torque, and energy comes from a 1,352 Wh battery delivering a claimed range of up to 50 miles. The Villian can hit 45 mph with selectable speed modes that cap output at 20 mph or 38 mph for riders who want to dial things back.

With suspension and braking appropriately scaled for the performance on tap, the Villain is well-suited to dirt paths, backyard tracks, and any other duties that require agile handling. Heybike has also added several safety and usability features that hint at a younger or first-time rider audience.

The Villian carries an MSRP of US $1,499 but looks like it will go on sale in the coming days with an early-bird offer of $1,399, making this one of the most affordable light electric dirt bikes on the market.

EazyInWay Expert Take

The Heybike Villian is a game-changer for the electric dirt bike segment, offering a compelling value play at under $1,500. By embracing full e-moto territory and avoiding regulatory gray areas, Heybike has created an accessible entry point into electric dirt bikes – especially for younger riders or families not ready to jump into full motorcycle ownership.
