Subaru Forester Hybrid Prices Take a Hit for 2026

The Subaru Forester Hybrid is back for its sophomore year, and with it comes some exciting news: prices have been slashed across the board. The starting price of the Forester Hybrid has dropped from $38,015 to a more attractive $36,180, representing an $1835 reduction despite no changes to equipment.

This price cut applies not only to the base model but also to its other trims, with the Sport trim now costing $1635 less at $39,380 and the top-level Touring trim being $1720 less expensive at $42,995. The mid-range Limited trim takes the biggest hit, dropping in price by $1985 to $40,445.

While changes to the Forester Hybrid lineup for 2026 are minimal, the nonhybrid Forester's pricing has seen only a nominal increase over the 2025 model. In contrast, the rugged Wilderness model has seen an increase of $740 due to its transition to the new design introduced across the rest of the range last year.

To round out the updates, Subaru has also added an Onyx Edition model for 2026, which is available only with the nonhybrid powertrain and offers a unique appearance package at a price of $37,945. With these changes, Subaru aims to make the Forester Hybrid more affordable for buyers looking for a reliable and feature-packed SUV.

EazyInWay Expert Take

Subaru's decision to slash prices on the Forester Hybrid is a strategic move to attract more customers in a competitive market. By making the vehicle more affordable, Subaru can increase sales and stay ahead of its competitors.
