The Nichols N1A is a street-legal machine that pays homage to the 1960s sports-racer era, but boasts modern supercar performance. 0-liter small-block Chevy V-8, producing 630 horsepower.
This impressive power-to-weight ratio rivals that of a Bugatti Chiron Super Sport. The N1A's design is heavily inspired by Bruce McLaren's first car, the M1A, with a bespoke aluminum-bonded chassis and carbon-fiber reinforcements.
The car's manual transmission is also reminiscent of Ayrton Senna's racing days, featuring a gold lever similar to the one used in the 1989 Monaco Grand Prix. The Nichols N1A is the result of Steve Nichols' collaboration with John Minett, who aimed to create a road-legal, track-day car that combines pure driving thrills with huge performance and modern technology.
The car's retro-influenced styling has been achieved through its design, which channels the spirit of Bruce McLaren's early cars. However, unlike the original M1A, the N1A features a more modern and advanced chassis.
The Nichols N1A is available in the UK as a street-legal machine, but can be imported to the US as a track-only car while the company works through the homologation process.
The Nichols N1A's impressive power-to-weight ratio and manual transmission make it an attractive option for driving enthusiasts. Its retro-inspired design adds to its unique charm, making it a standout in the supercar market.
