Industry leaders are being sought for the OHI Board of Directors, with five seats up for grabs. The nomination window closes on May 28, giving interested individuals until just before Memorial Day weekend to put their names forward. Members can self-nominate or submit a peer nomination for someone they believe would bring valuable insights to the board.

The current OHI board has identified specific gaps in geography, representation, and skillsets ahead of this year's cycle. The organization is keenly interested in candidates who possess park owner or operator experience from the western United States, as well as those representing small, family-owned, or corporate parks.

Emerging young leaders are also being sought to bring fresh perspectives to the board. OHI is looking for a mix of seasoned industry veterans and newcomers with a forward-thinking approach that speaks to parks of all sizes.

The skills required include financial acumen and nonprofit revenue strategy, organizational strategic planning, customer acquisition and retention, and a vision-oriented approach that aligns with parks' goals.

Although not requirements, these areas are preferred by the board. Candidates who meet one or more of these criteria are strongly encouraged to apply for this opportunity.

The OHI Board of Directors plays a crucial role in shaping the organization's direction. By participating, nominees can have a real say in where the industry is headed and contribute to key decisions.

Paul Bambei, OHI's president and CEO, emphasizes that this is an excellent chance for individuals to make their mark on the industry. 'If that sounds like you, or someone you know, now is the time to step forward,'
