The National Motorsports Press Association Hall of Fame inducted three motorsports veterans into its esteemed ranks on Saturday night. The ceremony took place at Charlotte Motor Speedway's Speedway Club, bringing together a gathering of top industry professionals.

Three individuals from different disciplines were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the world of motorsports. , Ricky Carmichael, and Doug Rice were inducted into the Hall of Fame, with each having achieved remarkable success in their respective fields.

The NMPA is an organization comprised of motorsports writers, broadcasters, and photographers who vote on the hall of fame, which is located at Darlington Raceway in South Carolina. Hornaday, a four-time champion in the Craftsman Truck Series, holds numerous records for top-five and top-ten finishes.

He scored his first series championship while driving for team owner Dale Earnhardt. Carmichael, a motocross/supercross superstar, won 15 American Motorcyclist Association championships and scored an AMA record 150 event victories.

Rice was the lead play-by-play announcer for Performance Racing Network broadcasts from 1992 through 2024, covering major events such as the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 in a single day. The induction ceremony marked a significant milestone for these three motorsports legends, solidifying their places among the most accomplished drivers and broadcasters in the industry.

Their achievements serve as a testament to their dedication, perseverance, and passion for the sport.
