The 2027 Audi S6 e-tron Sportback builds on its A-model counterpart with a healthy dose of gusto. It comes standard with a handling-enhancing rear-biased all-wheel-drive system and adaptive air suspension, delivering 496 horsepower on a launch-control start. The electric S6 e-tron's impressive range estimate is 324 miles, making it an attractive option for luxury car buyers.

Its rear liftgate opens wide to reveal a sizable cargo hold as well as a glimpse of the elegantly sporty cabin ahead of it. While the S6 e-tron is more athletic than the standard A6 e-tron, and plenty quick, it's more of a powerful luxury car than a sports-sedan firebrand. The S6 e-tron skipped the 2026 model year and moves into 2027 with some minor changes, including an added scroll-wheel button on the steering wheel and reorganized infotainment system.

Audi now gives buyers a period of complimentary scheduled maintenance. In terms of price, it's comparable to the BMW i5 M60, and it undercuts the Mercedes-AMG EQE by a significant margin. The S6 e-tron utilizes a pair of electric motors, one on each axle, with total system horsepower normally 496, but briefly increasing output to 543 ponies when engaging launch control.

The adaptive air suspension offers a selection of settings, which alter the car's ride height and handling. In comparison to other luxury electric cars, the S6 e-tron can keep pace in a drag race with the BMW i5 M60, but may not match the fluidity of the Lucid Air. The EPA has rated the S6 e-tron to go up to 324 miles per charge, and it can recharge from 10% to 80% in 21 minutes.

The company says it can add as many as 192 miles of range in 10 minutes on a DC fast-charger. The S6 e-tron's interior hews to Audi's modern tech-forward design language, featuring a panoramic glass roof and other notable amenities.
