7% of RV dealership websites in North America fail to meet modern consumer experience standards, according to a recent study by website solutions provider Overfuel. 6% did not generate enough real-world traffic to produce a performance assessment. However, the study also revealed that dealers who modernize their digital storefronts are seeing firsthand that fast, stable websites drive more traffic, more leads and better customer experiences.

The opportunity is massive, and the technology to capitalize on it is available right now. Google introduced Core Web Vitals in 2020 to evaluate three critical dimensions of real-world website performance: loading speed, interactivity and visual stability. Websites that fail to meet these standards not only create friction for consumers but also risk reduced visibility across Google's ecosystem, including Search, Maps and AI-driven results.

The study indicates that sites meeting Core Web Vitals benchmarks can see organic traffic gains of up to 20%, while those that fall short often experience comparable declines. Dealers who fail to comply with Core Web Vitals standards effectively waste $30 of every $100 spent on advertising, according to a recent industry finding. This highlights the growing urgency of website performance and its direct impact on marketing ROI.

The RV industry is heavily reliant on digital marketing to reach current and potential RV owners, making it essential for dealers to ensure that their company websites are performing at a high level. Better performance isn't theoretical - it's already being delivered by dealers who modernize their digital storefronts. The study provides valuable insights into the importance of website performance and its impact on business results.

By understanding these findings, RV dealers can take steps to improve their online presence and drive more traffic, leads and sales.

As the digital landscape continues to evolve, it's essential for RV dealers to prioritize website performance and ensure that their digital storefronts are providing a seamless and engaging experience for customers. By doing so, they can capitalize on the massive opportunity presented by modern web technologies and drive business results.
