The delay in Delta's premium Airbus A321neo fleet has pushed back the airline's long-awaited business class upgrade, leaving passengers without lie-flat seats for at least another two years. The aircraft was originally planned to launch with an upscale cabin configuration in late 2024, but certification problems have repeatedly pushed the timeline back. As a result, Delta will continue to operate its A321neos with a temporary interior featuring 44 domestic first class recliner seats instead of the intended lie-flat business class seats and Premium Select cabin.
